Harshan Radhakrishnan, P.Eng., MASc., Manager Climate Change and Sustainability Initiatives
In his role at EGBC, Harshan supports programs and initiatives as they relate to areas of climate action, adaptation, water management, sustainability, and energy efficiency. This includes work on providing professional practice guidance to registrants on matters related to the professional practice of engineering and geoscience in BC and through Engineers Canada, nationally. Harshan also provides staff support to EGBC’s Climate Change Advisory Group, Sustainability committee, and other designated committees, including the BC Energy Step Code Council.

Milton McClaren, SFU Professor Emeritus of Education (Subject Matter Expert on Environmental Education)
Milt is an Emeritus Professor of Education in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University and a Cohort Supervisor in the doctoral program in education (Ed.D.) He also teaches in the EcoEd M.Ed program in the SFU Faculty of Education and is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Environment and Sustainability at RRU. Milt is a recipient of the B.C. Minister’s Environment Award, the Canadian EECOM Award, and the Canadian Wildlife Federation’s Certificate of Merit, for his work in the field of environmental education. He is a holder of the Maxwell Cameron Medal in Education from the BC Teachers Federation.
Roy Brooke, Executive Director of the Municipal Natural Assets Initiative (MNAI)
Roy served as Director of Sustainability for the City of Victoria between 2011-2013. Between 2003-2011 he worked for the United Nations, including the World Health Organization, United Nations Environment Programme and UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, based in Geneva, Switzerland, and later in Rwanda, where he was UNEP’s Environment Programme Coordinator. Prior to this he served as a political advisor to Canada’s environment minister.
Patricia Dehnel, Planning Institute of BC; Community Relations Manager
Patricia is a Registered Professional Planner and Community Relations Manager / Carbon Neutral Specialist with the Community Energy Association (CEA), a charitable non-profit society with a mission to build capacity and accelerate action on climate and energy. In her role, she supports local government climate action and project implementation. Patricia has served on the Planning Institute of BC’s Board of Directors since 2017 and is co-chair of the Climate Action Sub-Committee (Policy & Public Affairs Committee). Formerly, Patricia was City Planner, City of Nelson and Interim CAO, Village of Slocan. She holds a Masters of Arts in Community and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in urban geography, both from UBC.



Kieth Jones, Challenge Dialogue Systems and Facilitator of Transformation Initiatives
Keith is energetic, engaging, attentive, facilitative, creative, hard-working, innovative, fun and ceaseless connector. He cherishes complex, multi-stakeholder, collaborative challenges in strategy, change, innovation, and transformation. These assignments include situation analyses, outcome mapping, logic modelling, strategic planning, business planning, business case development, gap analyses and performance measurement and management. They demand a full suite of knowledge and skills in listening, dialogue, synthesis, integration, and communication in oral, written, and graphical form. Art and graphics, always a hobby, are being used increasing to great advantage in his day-to-day consulting products. Keith has a BSc. and MSc. and is a Professional Biologist (PBiol.) and Certified Management Consultant (CMC). He primary focus currently is as a Master practitioner, Educator & Mentor for the Challenge Dialogue System® (CDS) - http://challengedialoguesystem.net.
