Vice President for Programs
Imad Madanat is the Vice President for ADRA Programs Since October 2013. The ADRA veteran has served the agency for more than a decade in various roles, including Senior Program Finance Manager and Country Finance Director in Yemen. Madanat’s wealth of experience includes new business capture, program expansion into new countries and managing portfolio of innovative projects and teams. He leads ADRA/International programmatic work and manages the team responsible for responding to natural disasters, humanitarian assistance and long-term development. During the last year he led ADRA’s programs team to triple ADRA’s USG portfolio, expand ADRA work in the MENA, Africa and across Latin America to address the needs of the displacement of people in those regions. Recently played a key role in ADRA’s Global COVID-19 Task force to address the needs of ADRA offices and programs as a result of the pandemic and planning for the recovery stage.
Imad was born in Jordan, moved to the US in 1989 and complete his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland in 1995. In 1999 he completed a Masters in International Management with a Finance emphasis from the University of Maryland, University College (today known as University of Maryland Global Campus).
