I am a research scientist and green infrastructure professional with a background in Earth science (geography, environment, atmospheric) and landscape architecture / environmental design research. In recent years my research has focused on examining the relationship between urban natural and built environments and human health and wellbeing, and in particular the health benefits of contact with nature / natural environments (or green and open spaces). I am one of Scotland's leading thinkers and players in the urban greening movement and have been a core member of the Scottish Green Roof Forum since 2009.
