Gemechu Shale Ogato

I am assistant professor at the department of Rural Development and Agricultural Extension, Institute of Cooperatives and Development Studies, Ambo University. Moreover, I am a PhD candidate for Environmental Planning programme of Ethiopian Institute of Architecture, Building Construction, and City Development, Addis Ababa University (2012-2016). I am planning to undertake a PhD research on vulnerability assessment and planning for adaptation and mitigation in selected cities of Ethiopia. My research interest include: climate change adaptation and mitigation, ecotourism and development, information communication for sustainable development, wise use and conservaion of wetlands, development communication, environmental impact assessment, biodiversity conservation, food security and agriculture, vulnerability to climate change in urban areas, planning for mitigation and adaptation to climate change in urban areas.
