Assistant Professor
Reinhard Steurer holds a Doctoral and Master’s degree in political science from the University of Salzburg/Austria, and a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Maryland/USA. In research and teaching he is concerned with climate change mitigation and adaptation policies, sustainable development policies and governance, and the role of governments in the context of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), usually in a comparative European perspective. Reinhard has published about 80 articels, book chapters, books and internet reports, and he gave more than 60 presentations on these topics. The journals that have published his work include Policy Sciences, Environment and Planning C, Journal of Business Ethics, Natural Resource Forum and Scandinavian Journal of Management (all listed in the SSCI). He has directed numerous research and consulting projects which were commissioned by a variety of research funds, the European Commission, UNDP Turkey, and several federal ministries from Austria and other European countries. Between 2002 and 2008, Reinhard was a senior researcher and project director at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
