ICA Team Attends the CleanBC Forum
CleanBC Forum
On January 29-30, the Adaptation Learning Network (ALN) team leads, Dr. Robin Cox and Vivian Forssman attended the CleanBC Forum held in Richmond, BC. This Forum was focused on building shared purpose with Indigenous communities throughout BC, and making connections between Indigenous communities and organizations working in climate adaptation and mitigation.
As ALN has moved into the course development stage it has been clear that incorporating Indigenous modes of education are imperative to delivering a holisitc view of adaptation. The CleanBC forum was an opportunity for the team to connect with people from Indigenous communites from all across British Columbia and begin developing a process by which we can share indigenous worldviews in our course development in a meaningful way.
ALN is grateful to all the indivduals that offered us feedback and guidance at the CleanBC Forum and we hope to build on and strengthen these relationships as we move forward.
