Research Associate, Sustainable Habitat Division
I am an Indian national working at The Energy Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi as a Research Associate in the Centre for Sustainable Urban Development & Transport Systems, Sustainable Habitat Division. I am currently working on projects to build urban resilience to climate change. My experience ranges from field exposure, youth networking and action to project management and community action.
I pursued my Bachelors in journalism from Kamala Nehru College, Delhi University. I completed my Masters in Sustainable Development Practice from TERI University, New Delhi. I was selected as an International Climate Champion (ICC) by British Council and TERI in 2009. Under the ICC programme as part of a national action project, am currently implementing a self-proposed project on promoting urban household composting using terracotta pots in Delhi; have been involved with several awareness and outreach activities to sensitise individuals on the importance of effective waste management.
I was selected to represent 'Asia Pacific youth' to present a youth declaration on green economy at COP 18, Doha. Post which have been chosen as a steering committee member of the Asian Youth Climate Network.
