From February 2014 to Present: I am working for SNV Netherlands Development Organisation as a Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) Advisor of CSA Asia Project. Key responsible is to develop and document CSA best practices, CSA model that can be adopted by smallholder farmers in Cambodia.
From May 2012 to December 2013, I had been working as a Smallholder Agriculture Specialist with Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO-UN) since May 2012. My resposibility is to develop climate-related proposal for submitting to Global Environment Facility (GEF). Moreover, I am also responsible for compiling resilient crops and good practices for disseminating to the small farmers in rural communities. I was responsibile for building capacity of the farmers, members of Farmer Field Schools (FFSs), women farmers, government officials to adopt the climate smart agricultural innovations within their respective communities. I also worked with the community on disseminaiton of climate informaiton, knowledge sharing on climate chnage adaptation, documentation and publication through Incformation, Communication and Technology (ICT). I assisted my project team to conduct Climate Vulnerability Assessment in order to collect data / information for writing up the climate related proposals. The findings from the vulnerability assessment is used as baseline data for measuring the change and the project's impact. At the national level, I am working with the government line agencies such as the Ministry of Environment (MOE), the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MoWRAM), and the Ministry of Women's Affairs (MoWA) to integrate the climate chnage adaptation into their policies, stragtegic plans, etc.
I had worked for Cambodian Centre for Study and Development in Agriculture (CEDAC) in various positions from July 2001 to May 2012. I was mainly involved in promoting sustainable agriculture, food security, farmer organization and network, etc.
