This second edition of the Forest Adaptation Resources provides a collection of resources designed to help forest managers incorporate climate change considerations into management and devise adaptation tactics. The ideas, tools, and resources presented in the different chapters are intended to inform and support existing decision-making processes of multiple organizations with diverse management goals.

This document provides guidance on what forest managers should consider in assessing vulnerability, risk, mitigation options, and actions for adaptation, mitigation and monitoring in response to climate change.

This field guide is designed as a quick reference on climate change for northern Minnesota forests. The intent is to highlight key information that can be used during field visits or forest planning.

This report undertook three case studies oriented around specific climate-change related risks: 1) looking at wildfire risk on the landscape; 2) fire and the wildland-urban interface; and 3) the effect of maladaptation and less resilient future forests (as the trees being planted would not be suited for future climate).
